West Midlands bus route 87 is a bus route between Birmingham and Dudley in United Kingdom. It is operated by the areas largest bus operator National Express West Midlands, previously branded West Midlands Travel and Travel West Midlands. ==Route== The route follows a former tram way from Birmingham to Dudley, and was part of the Midland Red until the mid 70’s when it passed the WMPTE. The day time service is currently every 10 to 15 minutes, with a 30-minute service at all other times. The service follows a loop in the city centre from near the Birmingham Collage of Food and Tourism, inbound services run down through Smallbrook Queensway and onto Corporation Street. The service leaves the city down Dudley Road, passing City Hospital, and into Smethwick running through Cape Hill and the High Street. It follows the main Oldbury Road into Oldbury town centre and then on through Tividale to Dudley, running along the Dudley Road.
